Senior Software Delivery Manager
The Software Ecosystem Coordinator
About Advertima
Advertima is building the missing audience infrastructure that brings the power of digital advertising to the physical world.
Today, most advertising inside physical retail stores still operates like the internet did twenty years ago: static screens, no audience intelligence, and almost no measurable performance. Meanwhile, online advertising evolved into a trillion-dollar ecosystem powered by real-time data, automation, and programmatic infrastructure.
We are changing that.
Global retail leaders such as Walmart, Carrefour, FairPrice, SPAR, EDEKA and other tier-1 retailers are deploying our technology across thousands of stores. Together, we are defining a completely new category.
Our technology transforms physical retail environments into real-time, data-driven media channels. Using computer vision, edge computing, and distributed AI systems, we translate physical shoppers into anonymized digital audiences that can be measured, targeted, and activated in real time. This is an extremely hard engineering and deep tech problem.
Our platform operates across large fleets of edge AI devices deployed globally, processes real-world data in real time, and integrates with complex cloud infrastructure and the global adtech ecosystem — all while ensuring that the resulting data can be trusted, interpreted, and used to make high-stakes commercial decisions.
At the same time, everything we build follows a strict privacy-by-design philosophy. Our systems operate without storing personal data or images, while still enabling the audience intelligence required for real-time performance media. This approach, rooted in Switzerland’s strong privacy culture, has become one of the key reasons global retailers trust Advertima to power their next-generation Retail Media infrastructure.
This is not a theoretical vision or an incremental improvement. It is the creation of a completely new global technology standard.
But building the technology is only one part of the equation.
Ensuring that the software infrastructure required for campaign execution and data delivery works reliably across every customer, every platform, and every integration is just as critical.
Advertima’s Audience AI produces real-time, privacy-safe shopper intelligence at scale. That intelligence only creates value when it flows correctly through the software layer on top. CMS platforms, programmatic integrations, booking systems, and APIs must work together as one system across thousands of touchpoints and multiple continents.
This is a network of interconnected platforms across Advertima, customers, and partners, each with its own setup, constraints, and dependencies. When this layer fails, campaigns do not deliver, budgets are at risk, and data does not flow.
That is why we are building a world class software delivery function.
Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Software Delivery Manager to ensure that Advertima’s software ecosystem works in production.
Advertima’s Audience AI generates real-time shopper intelligence, but value is only realized when that data flows correctly through the systems used to activate, deliver, and measure campaigns.
This role sits in the live operational layer where those systems come together.
Engineering builds the platforms. Product defines the integrations. Commercial structures the deals. This role ensures that everything works end to end in real environments.
You lead software integrations during onboarding and ensure that deployments are correctly configured from day one. In live operations, you identify and resolve integration issues across CMS platforms, programmatic systems, and APIs, and escalate with clear diagnosis when needed.
You coordinate changes into live systems, work with external partners to maintain integration quality, and ensure that campaign execution and data delivery remain stable.
Success means campaigns deliver, data flows correctly, and issues are resolved before they are visible.
If you are comfortable operating in complex, multi-system environments and take ownership for making things work in reality, this role puts you at the centre of making a new global infrastructure actually function.
The Role
This role sits at the centre of a multi-directional operational web.
- Account Managers are the primary internal partners: software delivery and customer success work in lockstep, especially during onboarding, rollouts, and incident response. Account Managers own the customer relationship; this role owns the technical execution within it.
- Engineering & Product are the escalation path, not the first call. This role provides structured problem diagnosis, not raw bug reports.
- Commercial team owns business relationships and deal structures with programmatic and platform partners. This role owns the operational reality of those integrations in live environments.
- Senior Data Scientist is a close collaborator on measurement pipeline integrity — ensuring data flowing through the software stack is structurally sound before it reaches analytics.
- This role does not own software SLAs. Those sit with engineering and product. It owns detection, escalation, and coordination when the software layer fails, and prevention through rigorous deployment and release management.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Software Onboarding
- Lead the software integration workstream for new customer deployments, working directly alongside the CUS and Account Managers
- Configure and connect the customer's CMS platform to Advertima's Audience AI, ensuring correct data flow from edge devices through to campaign delivery and measurement
- Integrate programmatic advertising partners — SSPs, DSPs, ad servers — into the customer's activation stack
- Connect booking systems and campaign pipelines so that Direct I/O and programmatic workflows operate consistently from day one
- Serve as the primary technical contact for the customer's own data and technology teams during the onboarding phase
- Ensure integrations are documented, validated, and handed over cleanly before a deployment is considered live
Platform Operations & Troubleshooting
- Monitor campaign delivery infrastructure across the live customer base, identifying issues before they become customer-visible failures
- Diagnose software integration failures — distinguishing between CMS configuration errors, API connectivity issues, programmatic pipeline breaks, and deeper platform-level faults
- Resolve operational issues directly where possible; escalate to engineering with clear, structured problem definitions when deeper fixes are required
- Support troubleshooting during active campaign execution, where response time has direct commercial consequences
Software Release Management
- Co-own the software release process alongside engineering and CUS Managers — this role does not execute releases but controls the gate to live customer environments
- Assess readiness for software updates on a per-customer basis, accounting for active campaign schedules, integration dependencies, and customer-specific configurations
- Coordinate the green-light process with CUS Managers before any release reaches a live environment
- Track rollout progress across the customer base and ensure no customer environment is left on an unsupported version without a clear plan
Programmatic Infrastructure Operations
- Ensure that the programmatic infrastructure underpinning audience-based activation is functioning correctly — SSP connections, DSP integrations, deal execution pipelines, and impression delivery flows
- Identify and resolve operational failures in programmatic delivery without redesigning commercial structures, which remain the domain of the commercial team
- Monitor that the APIs are feeding correctly into programmatic workflows, and escalate anomalies to engineering when required
- Support the operationalisation of new programmatic integrations as Advertima expands its partner ecosystem
Third-Party Partner Operations
- Act as the day-to-day operational interface with CMS vendors, SSP partners, and ad tech platform providers in live deployment contexts
- Manage operational issues, integration questions, and incident coordination with external partners directly
Campaign Measurement Pipeline Integrity
- Collaborate with the Senior Data Scientist to ensure that campaign measurement pipelines are structurally sound — that data flowing from edge devices through the software stack arrives at the analytics layer correctly and completely
- Identify software-side causes of measurement gaps or inconsistencies and drive resolution with engineering
- Ensure that Analytics API outputs match the expected data model across all customer integrations
Background
- Ad tech operations or digital advertising infrastructure — hands-on experience with CMS platforms, SSPs, DSPs, or campaign delivery systems in live environments
- Programmatic ecosystem experience — functional understanding of how programmatic advertising works end-to-end, from deal structures to impression delivery, even if commercial design sits elsewhere
- API integration operations — experience working with REST APIs, troubleshooting data flows, and coordinating between platform providers
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role — solution engineering, technical account management, or delivery management in a SaaS or ad tech environment
- Exposure to release management or change control processes in multi-customer environments
- Retail media, DOOH, or in-store media experience is a strong advantage
Tooling Familiarity
Advertima doesn't require all of these, but familiarity with comparable tools is a strong signal.
- CMS platforms used in digital signage or retail media (e.g. Scala, Signagelive, Broadsign, or similar)
- Programmatic ad tech (SSP/DSP platforms, deal management, OpenRTB familiarity)
- API testing and debugging tools (e.g. Postman, curl, or similar)
- Monitoring and observability tooling (e.g. Grafana, Datadog, or similar)
- Ticketing and release coordination (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow, or similar)
How You Work
- Technically hands-on — comfortable navigating CMS configurations, API connections, and programmatic pipeline diagnostics directly, not just managing those who do
- Structured problem solver — able to diagnose complex, multi-platform failures methodically and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Customer-comfortable — confident representing Advertima's technical capability directly with customer data and technology teams, particularly during onboarding and incident response
- Operationally disciplined — brings process rigour to a fast-moving, multi-customer environment where ad hoc approaches break down at scale
- Collaborative by instinct — this role succeeds through relationships with engineering, product, commercial, and CUS teams; influence without authority is the primary operating mode
- Calm under pressure — campaign delivery failures happen in live retail environments with real commercial consequences; composure and clarity under pressure are non-negotiable
