Retail Media has become one of the largest disruptions in the history of advertising. Analysts expect the global Retail Media market to exceed $300 billion by 2030, representing nearly one fourth of global advertising spend.
But there is a major problem: while Retail Media exploded online, physical stores, where around 90% of shopping is still expected to happen well into the next decade, still lack the technological capabilities required to participate in this transformation at the same level.
Most in store advertising today still operates like the internet did twenty years ago: static screens, no audience intelligence, no real time targeting, and almost no measurable performance.

Using Computer Vision, edge computing, and AI, we transform physical retail environments into real time, data driven media channels. At the core of this transformation lies Vision AI.
We fundamentally believe that Computer Vision is the key enabling technology required to bring true performance media capabilities into physical environments. Without understanding physical shoppers in real time, there is no scalable way to build audience based Retail Media inside stores.
We believe the market is massively underestimating how much spend will shift into stores once physical retail environments gain the same audience intelligence and performance capabilities that transformed online advertising.
And this shift will not only come from online Retail Media or traditional media. We believe advertising will increasingly move from across the broader media ecosystem, including Search, Social, DOOH, and other traditional media, into physical retail environments once stores get real time performance media capabilities.
We are leading this transition. That is why we created a dedicated Vision AI organization at Advertima.
The Vision AI team is responsible for the perception layer of our platform: real time shopper detection, multi person tracking, 3D positioning, head pose estimation, body pose estimation, spatial understanding, and contextual scene analysis, all fully privacy compliant and optimized for edge deployment at global scale.
Our systems already operate across global retail networks with companies such as Walmart, Carrefour, FairPrice, SPAR, and EDEKA.
The technical challenge behind this is massive: real time Computer Vision running on edge devices, under hardware constraints, in difficult physical environments, at enterprise scale, while remaining fully privacy compliant.

Your role…
Lead the Vision AI Organization
You will lead Advertima’s global Vision AI organization and define the technological direction of our Computer Vision stack.
Your focus is the Capture layer of our technology platform: understanding physical shoppers and physical environments in real time through Computer Vision.
You will lead and scale a high-performance engineering culture focused on solving real-world perception challenges at enterprise scale.
Own the Physical-World Perception Layer
Your team is responsible for:
- shopper detection
- multi-person tracking
- 3D positioning
- head pose estimation
- body pose estimation
- spatial understanding
- contextual scene analysis
- sensor fusion
- edge AI inference optimization
Drive Computer Vision Innovation
You will continuously evolve Advertima’s Computer Vision capabilities across:

You understand how to balance bleeding-edge Computer Vision research with real-world deployment constraints and operational scalability.

Your profile…
Educational Background
Advanced degree (MSc or PhD preferred) in:
- Computer Vision
- Computer Science
- Robotics
- Artificial Intelligence
- or related technical fields
- 10+ years experience in Computer Vision and AI systems
- Proven experience leading Computer Vision teams
- Experience deploying Computer Vision systems into real-world production environments
- Experience scaling AI infrastructure across large deployments
Strong expertise in:
- 3D Computer Vision
- Multi-object tracking
- Pose estimation
- Spatial AI
- Sensor fusion
- Edge AI inference
- Real-time perception systems
- Distributed AI systems
Experience with multi-camera environments, GPU optimization, low-latency inference pipelines, and edge deployment is highly valuable.
Leadership Skills
