About Advertima

Advertima is building the Audience Intelligence Layer for In-Store Retail Media. We use computer vision, edge computing and distributed AI to make in-store audiences measurable and addressable, with privacy built into the technology.

Our platform spans fleets of edge AI devices, real-time data processing, cloud infrastructure and AdTech integrations. That mix creates engineering challenges across physical stores and software systems. We are growing our core engineering team in Zurich to solve them.

Your role

As a Platform/DevOps Engineer, you will build and evolve the infrastructure platform that helps our teams develop, deploy and operate Advertima’s cloud and edge environments reliably and efficiently.

•  Build our internal platform. Design, implement and maintain the infrastructure platform for cloud and edge environments.

•  Enable self-service delivery. Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows for containerized workloads using Docker and Incus, as well as Debian-packaged services.

•  Collaborate across teams. Work with Product, Customer Success, Engineering, Machine Learning and Hardware to support scalable production systems.

•  Build security in from the start. Apply sound secret handling, hardened system images and strict access management while keeping the developer experience practical.

•  Improve platform availability. Join the on-call rotation for platform infrastructure and use production feedback to improve reliability, automation and usability.

What you bring

•  BSc or MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience

•  At least five years of experience in DevOps or software engineering with a strong operations focus

•  Hands-on experience with containers such as Docker or OCI and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes

•  Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management, such as Terraform and Ansible

•  Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed systems

•  Strong Linux system administration skills and scripting with Bash or Python

•  Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI or similar

•  Fluent written and spoken English

Nice to have

•  Experience managing distributed fleets of edge or embedded devices

•  Experience with ARM-based platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson devices

•  Experience with secure software delivery, secrets management or system hardening
